Ms. Seoyeong Ku
Integrated Master & Ph.D. Student
She is interested in human security issues caused by climate change and aims to solve them from the perspective of the Water-Food-Carbon-Energy Nexus. Her main research area is to analyze the water cycle and carbon cycle by combining surface observation data such as flux towers with remote sensing data such as satellite images and reanalysis data. In addition, her research aims to monitor, analyze, and quantify the recovery period of natural disasters such as forest fires and typhoons that have become more severe due to global warming, and on the other hand, she aims to solve the problems caused by extreme heavy rainfall by proposing a new rainfall prediction method based on network theory.
